Taho

A warm and comforting Filipino snack made with silken tofu, sweet syrup, and tapioca pearls.

Taho

Ingredients

  • -500g silken tofu
  • -1 cup tapioca pearls
  • -1 cup brown sugar
  • -1 cup water
  • -1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a pot, cook tapioca pearls according to package instructions until translucent. Set aside.
  2. In another pot, combine brown sugar and water. Simmer until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens into a syrup. Add vanilla extract if desired.
  3. Steam the silken tofu for about 10 minutes or until warmed through.
  4. In a serving cup, layer the steamed tofu, tapioca pearls, and syrup.
