Taho
A warm and comforting Filipino snack made with silken tofu, sweet syrup, and tapioca pearls.
Ingredients
- -500g silken tofu
- -1 cup tapioca pearls
- -1 cup brown sugar
- -1 cup water
- -1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- In a pot, cook tapioca pearls according to package instructions until translucent. Set aside.
- In another pot, combine brown sugar and water. Simmer until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens into a syrup. Add vanilla extract if desired.
- Steam the silken tofu for about 10 minutes or until warmed through.
- In a serving cup, layer the steamed tofu, tapioca pearls, and syrup.
